ZONG Xianlei1 CAO Chunyan1 SONG Guodong1 LAI Chenzhi1 YU Panxi1 JIN Xiaolei1 JIANG Duyin2,3
Objective To explore the promoting effect of keratinocyte growth factor (KGF) active peptide on wound healing in diabetic rats. Methods Twenty-four healthy female SD rats were selected, and injected intraperitoneally with streptozotocin to prepare a diabetic rat model. They were randomly divided into 4 groups: negative control group, KGF positive control group, No.1 KGF active short peptide group, and No.2 KGF active short peptide group, with 6 rats in each group. Round wounds of 2 cm in diameter were prepared on the back of the rats, and drugs of each group were injected locally on the wounds. Photographs were taken 14 days after injury, and the unhealed area of the wound was recorded to calculate the wound healing rate. The wound healing was observed by HE staining. Results The chronic wound model of diabetic rats was successfully established. At 14 days after injury, the wound healing rate of KGF positive control group, No.1 KGF active short peptide group and No.2 KGF active short peptide group was significantly higher than that of the negative control group, and the difference was highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). The wound healing rate of No.1 KGF active short peptide group and No.2 KGF active short peptide group was not significantly different from that of KGF positive control group (P > 0.05). In the negative control group, the whole skin of the wound was missing, and the skin attachments such as hair follicles, sweat glands and sebaceous glands were missing. The tissue structure was uniform and dense, no layer, and the inflammatory cell infiltration was obvious. In the other groups, the wounds were well formed, the deep tissue layers were clear, the structure was loose, the infiltrated inflammatory cells was lessen, and the skin attachments such as regenerated hair follicles, sweat glands and sebaceous glands were visible. Conclusion KGF active short peptide can promote wound healing and regeneration of skin attachment in diabetic rats.

ZHANG Beiping1 ZHAI Shuping2 YUAN Wei2 YAN Yong2 ZHANG Xiaobing1 WANG Bailin2▲
Objective To observe the protective effect of Major Capillaries Decoction and Bubleurum Decoction on liver ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. Methods Liver ischemia-reperfusion model rats were randomly divided into ischemia-reperfusion Chinese medicine group (TCM group, n = 75), ischemia-reperfusion control group (control group, n = 75), and sham operation group (sham group, n = 75). The contents of interleukin-1 (IL-1) in serum, intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) in rat liver homogenate tissue were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and Western blot. Results After ischemia and reperfusion in three groups, serum IL-1 content gradually increased with the extension of time. In the same time after ischemia-reperfusion, the serum IL-1 content of TCM group was significantly lower than that of the control group, the differences were highly statistically significant (P < 0.01). The expression of NF-κB and ICAM-1 in the liver homogenate tissue of TCM group and control group increased gradually with the extension of time, and the expression of TCM group was higher than that of control group at the same time point(P < 0.05). Conclusion Major Capillaries Decoction and Bubleurum Decoction can significantly alleviate liver ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. It may be through inhibiting the activation of NF-κB and reducing the expression of ICAM-1 and IL-1 to play a protective role in ischemia-reperfusion injury.

24 Research progress on the prevention and treatment of radiation-induced lung injury
DONG Guangtong1 ZHANG Xieyu2 HOU Wei2
Radiotherapy is one of the main methods for treating malignant tumors of the chest. However, it is unavoidable that normal tissues are involved. The lung is a moderately sensitive organ of ionizing radiation and therefore can easily cause radiation-induced lung injury. It mainly manifests itself as two phases, namely the early stage of radiation pneumonitis periad and the irreversible radiation pulmonary fibrosis period, which seriously reduces the quality of the patient′s life and even causes respiratory failure and endangers the life of the patient. Radiation-induced lung injury greatly limits the radiation dose, affects the therapeutic effect, and even forces it to be interrupted. This article reviews the mechanisms of radiation-induced lung injury, modern research, prediction systems, diagnosis, western medicine prevention and treatment.

WANG Chong1 SUN Rui2 WU Zhouya2
Objective To analyze the changes of sex hormones in female infertility patients, provide evidence for etiological diagnosis of female infertility. Methods From March 2015 to May 2017, 130 cases of female infertility in Nanjing Jinling Hospital on Integeration of Chinese and Western Medicine ("our hospital" for short) were selected as study group. According to the menstrual condition, it was divided into normal menstrual group (50 cases) and menstrual disorder group (80 cases). Fifty healthy women carried physical examination in our hospital at the same periods were selected as control group. Levels of serum follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol (E2), pituitary prolactin (PRL), testosterone and progesterone were measured by chemiluminescent Immunoassay. Results In the menstrual disorder group, serum FSH, LH, PRL and testosterone levels were higher than control group and menstrual normal group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Level of serum E2 was significantly lower than that of control group and normal menstrual group (P < 0.01). There was no significant difference between the six hormone levels and the control group in the normal menstrual group (P > 0.05). The levels of sex hormones in patients with different causes of infertility were compared with those in control group and normal menstrual group: LH, testosterone and PRL in 49 patients with polycystic ovary syndrome significantly increased (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01), and LH/FSH≥2. In 21 patients with hyperlactation, PRL significantly increased (P < 0.01), while E2 significantly decreased (P < 0.05). In 5 patients with premature ovarian insufficiency, FSH and LH increased significantly (P < 0.01), while E2 significantly decreased (P < 0.01). In 5 hypothyroidism patients, E2 and testosterone decreased significantly (P < 0.05), while FSH, LH and PRL increased significantly (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Conclusion The abnormal level of sex hormones in menstrual disorder group suggested that endocrine factors are the cause of infertility. The abnormal sex hormones in infertility of different etiologies provides an important basis for the analysis of etiology of infertility.

137 Experience summary of Professor Xu Rongqian in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric rhinitis by inspection
CAI Jiang1 WU Lifen2 XU Rongqian3
At present, the incidence of rhinitis in children is increasing gradually, and it may be closely related to environmental factors. However, because children are more difficult to describe symptoms, parents are less likely to find it, and often delay the condition. Professor Xu Rongqian believes that rhinitis, especially allergic rhinitis, is a precursor to the onset of cough variant asthma and asthma in children. Therefore, the treatment of rhinitis is of great significance in preventing the onset of asthma. The nose is the body of the lungs, and there are many diseases in children′s lungs. Therefore, it is very important to look for the nose. The inspection of traditional Chinese medicine in children is often limited to looking at the colors, looking at the form, observing the eyes and looking at the tongue, observing the nasal shape and nasal secretions, etc. In view of the diagnosis of respiratory diseases in children, Professor Xu Rongqian pays special attention to the diagnosis of the internal examination of children′s nasal cavity, and puts forward a special "nasal cavity examination for children". In this paper, Professor Xu Rongqian′s progress in the treatment of rhinitis is summarized by examining the nasal mucosa.

141 Discussion on treatment of Hashimot′s thyroidtis from the perspective of qi deficiency
ZHENG Huaigang WANG Fengying▲ SHAO Yingxin WANG Hong ZHOU Yun
Hashimoto′s thyoiditis (HT) is a clinical autoimmune thyroid disease, which leads to the pathology change of thyroid function and tissue structure, with typical clinical manisfestation of swollen thyroid or thyroid nodules. There is no record of HT in Chinese medicine literature. In traditional Chinese medicine, the disease characterized by the enlargement of the anterior cervical thyroid gland is called gall disease. Gall disease is caused by internal injury of mentality, abnormal diet, water and soil inappropriateness, with the basic pathogenesis of qi stagnation, phlegm, blood stasis accumulating anterior neck. Professor SHAO Yingxin thinks that HT is not exactly the same as gall disease. The disease has a long course, complicated symptoms and qi deficiency is throughout its occurrence and development. The pathogenesis is weak of right qi. Due to deficiency of right qi, the pathologic products such as phlegm dampness, blood stasis accumulate anterior the neck. The key pathogenesis is qi deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis. Further more, clinical trials have proved that treating HT from the perspective of qi deficiency that has satisfied effect. This article hopes that through the discussion of pathogenesis and etiological factors, could reach a consensus, so as to handle complexity by simplicity and improve the curative effect.

LI Qiannan1 FANG Ying1 CUI Hongsheng2 WU Weiping3 WANG Haiying1▲
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common disease in the elderly. Some of these patients eventually develop pulmonary interstitial fibrosis (PIF). Professor WU Weiping has outstanding curative effect in the treatment of COPD disease complicated with PIF. She thinks that the pathogenesis of the disease is insufficient anti-pathogenic energy, invasion of exogenous pathogens, and symptoms are mainly due to qi and yin deficiency. Phlegm and congestion play an important role in the process of pathogenesis. Professor WU takes the method of purging phlegm, activating blood, supplementing qi and nourishing yin, and her composition of prescription is mild and moderate, simple and effective.

In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) industry of Yunnan Province develops rapidly, and it has already become the largest and most influential area in the biomedical industry of whole province. However, its development environment is restricted by such factors as weak industrial linkage, insufficient talent support, weak innovation ability and limited comprehensive competitiveness of enterprises. With regards to the high attention of Yunnan provincial Party Committee and provincial government, good industrial foundation, rich resources of Chinese medicinal materials, rich national medical culture, and accelerating standardization construction, Yunnan TCM industry has great potential for optimization of development environment. Thus, it is suggested to strengthen top-level design and guidance, increase talent cultivation and guidance, enhance innovation drive, and let TCM enterprises become large and special, so as to effectively optimize the development environment of Yunnan′s TCM industry, and to promote industrial transformation and upgrading.

172 Application of ImageJ in 3D characterization of the osteocyte lacunae
WANG Bingqian1 LYU Zhengtao2▲
The three-dimensional (3D) morphology of osteocytes is assumed to adapt to physiological mechanical loading, the variation in the morphology of osteocyte lacunae is hypothesized to influence the function of osteocytes as the master mechanosensors of bone. Thus, to reveal the 3D characterization of osteocyte lacunae in cortical bone is essential for a better understanding of its structure in relation to its inferior mechanical properties in a cellular level. In this paper, the authors used a series of 100 consecutive images from laboratory-based instrumentation (3D X-ray microscope, MicroXCT-200) and proposed a computationally efficient image analysis method to quantify the 3D characterization of osteocyte lacunae using ImageJ software. The number of osteocyte lacunae (N.Lc), surface area of osteocyte lacunae (Lc.SA), volume of osteocyte lacunae (Lc.V) and other parameters used to describe 3D characterization of osteocyte lacunae within the region of interest could be accomplished after a series of operations including importing the image stack, thresholding and despeckling, inverting, filling holes and logical calculation.
