Abstract The early stage of follicular thyroid carcinoma is prone to hematogenous metastasis, the common sites of metastasis are lung and bone, the trachea and mediastina metastasis is exceptionally rare. This paper reports a 49-year-old male patient with trachea and mediastina metastasis 4 years after the operation of follicular thyroid carcinoma. The clinical features, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, treatment and prognosis are analyzed with reference to the literature.
