DOI: 10.20047/j.issn1673-7210.2022.25.03
Objective To study the effect of Baicalin on chronic pulmonary infection of multidrug resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MDRPA) in rats. Methods Thirty-two SPF male SD rats (6-8 weeks old, weight 180-220 g) were randomly divided into blank group, model group, western medicine group, and Baicalin group, with eight rats in each group. Among them, the model group, western medicine group, and the Baicalin group were injected with MDRPA alginate coated body through ortracheal intubation to establish the rat model of MDRPA chronic pulmonary infection. The Baicalin group was given 0.8 g/(kg·d) Baicalin by gavage, and the western medicine group was given 0.8 g/(kg·d) Piperacillin Tazobactam Sodium intramuscular injection. The blank group and the model group were given the same amount of normal saline as the Baicalin group by gavage. After 14 days of intervention, serum and lung tissues of the four groups were collected, and the lung tissues were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining. The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-10 (IL-10) in serum were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The mRNA expressions of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and nuclear factor κB (p65 subunit) (NF-κB p65) in lung tissue were detected by quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Results The lung tissue of blank group was normal. In the model group, a large number of inflammatory cells were infiltrated and the alveolar wall was significantly thickened. In Baicalin group, there were fewer inflammatory cells and thinner alveolar wall in lung tissues. The levels of serum TNF-α and the levels of TLR4 and NF-κB p65 mRNA in lung tissues in the model group were higher than those in the blank group, and the level of serum IL-10 was lower than that in the blank group (P < 0.05). The levels of serum TNF-α and the levels of TLR4 and NF-κB p65 mRNA in lung tissues in Baicalin group were lower than those in model group, and the level of serum IL-10 was higher than that in model group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Baicalin can reduce the inflammatory injury of lung tissues in rats with MDRPA chronic lung infection, and the mechanism may be related to the inhibition of TLR4/NF-κB pathway activation.

ZHANG Yupu JI Dengjun ZHANG Yan ZHANG Yu MA Ji GU Fei
DOI: 10.20047/j.issn1673-7210.2022.25.11
The mechanism of massage treatment in lumbar disc herniation can be explained from three aspects. First of all, massage has a direct improving effect on the lumbar bony structure and its dynamic relationship by adjusting the tension of muscles and soft tissues, restoring spino-balance of three dimension, reducing nerve stimulation symptoms. Secondly, in fascia theory, massage can improve autonomic nerve over reaction by relieving abnormal electrophysiology nervous impulse and increasing the microcirculation perfusion. Finally, massage can promote the spontaneous absorption of lumbar disc herniation and regulate inflammation and immune factors.

115 Professor Li Liyun’s treatment of infertility with polycystic ovary syndrome based on the theory of “making up deficiency and reducing superfluity”
ZHANG Sijun1 GENG Hongling2 TAN Yawen1 DU Shuntang1 XU Min2
DOI: 10.20047/j.issn1673-7210.2022.25.26
Professor Li Liyun is a famous traditional Chinese medicine in Guangdong Province, with rich experience in the treatment of infertility with polycystic ovary syndrome. The idea of “making up deficiency and reducing superfluity” originates from the “the law of nature is to make up for the deficiency rather than the excess” of Tao Te Ching. Based on the overall view and the concept of “harmony of man with nature” of traditional Chinese medicine, Professor Li Liyun thinks that the theory of “making up deficiency and reducing superfluity” is also applicable to the traditional Chinese medicine differentiation and treatment of human diseases. There are many pathogenic factors of infertility with polycystic ovary syndrome, and the overall pathogenesis can be summarized as “deficiency” and “excess” acting on the body. “deficiency” mainly lies in kidney and spleen deficiency, while “excess” mainly lies in qi depression, phlegm dampness and static blood. In the treatment, it is necessary to strengthen healthy qi and repaire the deficiency and replenish the deficiency of the spleen and kidney and other viscera, restrain the deficiency caused by the deficiency of the viscera, and remove the superfluity of stagnation of qi, phlegm-dampness and blood stasis to fill the deficiency of the viscera caused by excess evil, and integrate the “making up deficiency and reducing superfluity”, harmonize yin, yang, qi and blood, to provide new ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility with polycystic ovary syndrome.
