| Analysis of the characteristics of lipid metabolism and stone composition in patients with cholecystolithiasis of Uyghur people in Kashgar region |

Abstract Objective To investigate the characteristics of lipid metabolism and stone composition in the patients with simple cholecystolithiasis of Uyghur people in Kashgar region. Methods One hundred and eighty-eight patients with simple cholecystolithiasis treated in the Second People′s Hospital of Kashgar from January 2015 to December 2016 were selected as the patient group, and 172 healthy examined people were selected as the normal control group. The blood lipid levels and stone composition of each group were checked. The differences on plasma lipid levels and gallstone compositions in different gender of the patient group were analyzed. Results The contents of plasma CHOL, TG and APO-B in the patient group were significantly higher than those in the normal control group (P < 0.05). The contents of plasma HDL-C and APO-A1 levels were lower in the female patients than in the men patients (P < 0.05) in the patients group, while cholelithiasis was mainly composed of cholesterol stone (56.13%). Conclusion Abnormal lipid metabolism is one of the causes of cholecystolithiasis, especially in female.
