Factors analysis of operation effect of micro fracture of articular cartilage underwent arthroscopy |

Abstract Objective To explore the related factors of operation effect of micro fracture of articular cartilage underwent arthroscopy. Methods The clinical data of 300 patients treated in the Central Hospital of Enshi Automous Prefecture from March 2012 to April 2016 were analyzed retrospectively and divided into the effective group (258 cases) and the invalid group (42 cases) according to the standard of modern orthopaedics. The scores of Lysholm, Tegner, visual analogue and knee flexion degree before and after the operation were compared. The single factor descriptive analysis was used to analyze the related factors of micro fracture of articular cartilage underwent arthroscopy and the Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors. Results After operation, the scores of Lysholm, Tegner and knee flexion degree were all significantly higher than those of before operation, and the visual analogue score was significantly lower than that of before operation, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The propotion of age over 60, combined with trauma, meniscus injury, cartilage defect size more than 4 cm2, cartilage damage grade Ⅲ-Ⅳ, joint effusion, diffuse tenderness, joint swelling, previous treatment history, combined with coronary heart disease or osteoporosis in the invalid group were all higher than those of effective group, with statistically significant differences (all P < 0.05). The Logistic regression analysis showed that the factors above were all the independent risk factors of clinical efficacy (all P < 0.05). Conclusion Arthroscopic micro fracture treatment can significantly improve the function and flexion of the knee joint, reduce the pain, but there are more risk factors affecting the therapeutic effect.
