| The application effect of carnation care service in patients of cardiological department with temporary pacemaker implantation |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of carnation care service in patients of cardiological department with temporary pacemaker implantation. Methods From June 2015 to May 2016, 183 cases of hospitalized patients with surgical implantation of pacemaker in Department of Cardiology, the First People′s Hospital of Neijiang City were selected as the research subjects and divided into the observation group (96 cases) and the control group (87 cases) by random number table. The observation group was given carnation care service and the control group was given traditional surgical nursing. The related complications between the two groups were compared. Results The incidences of catheter displacement, puncture site hemorrhage and venous thrombosis in the observation group were significantly lower than those of control group, with statistically significant differences (all P ＜ 0.05), but there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of abnormal electrical activity (P ＞ 0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that of control group, with statistically significant difference (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion The carnation care service in cardiological department can reduce the incidences of complications in surgical patients with temporary pacemaker implantation. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
