Abstract  Objective To explore the influence of perioperative evidence-based nursing on complications and pain degree of patients with kidney stones treated by ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy. Methods A total of 105 patients undergoing ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy in Xijing Hospital, Air Force Military Medical University from December 2019 to December 2020 were selected and divided into control group 53 cases (routine perioperative intervention) and observation group 52 cases (evidence-based nursing intervention). The nursing indicators, visual analogue scale score (VAS), 36-item short form health survey (SF-36) score, and complication rate were compared between the two groups before intervention and one month after intervention. Results The recovery time of gastrointestinal function and hospitalization time in observation group were shorter than those in control group (P < 0.05). After one month of intervention, VAS score of both groups was lower than before intervention, SF-36 score was higher than before intervention, VAS score of observation group was lower than that of control group, SF-36 score was higher than that of control group (P < 0.05). The complication rate of observation group was lower than that of control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of perioperative evidence-based nursing intervention can improve the therapeutic effect of ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy, reduce the pain suffered by patients, improve the quality of life and reduce the complication rate.
