Impact of multimedia-led health education on the level of knowledge, belief, behavior and self-care ability of patients with liver cancer interventional therapy with contrast-enhanced ultrasound#br# |

Abstract Objective To explore the application of multimedia-led health education in patients with interventional treatment of liver cancer by contrast-enhanced ultrasound. Methods A total of 400 patients with liver cancer who underwent contrast-enhanced ultrasound interventional therapy from Xijing Hospital were selected from January to December 2020, and they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, each group with 200 cases. The control group was used conventional health education, and the observation group was used multimedia-led health education. The level of knowledge, belief, behavior, self-care ability, and compliance were compared between the two groups. Results Before the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in the knowledge, belief, and behavior scores between the two groups (P > 0.05); after the intervention, the knowledge, belief, and behavior scores of the two groups were higher than before the intervention, while the observation group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Before the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of health knowledge, self-concept, self-care responsibility, and self-care skills between the two groups (P > 0.05); after the intervention, the health knowledge level, self-concept, self-care responsibility, and self-care skills of the two groups were higher than those before the intervention, while the observation group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The nursing compliance of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Based on the multimedia-led health education model, applied to patients with liver cancer undergoing interventional therapy with contrast-enhanced ultrasound, it can improve knowledge, belief and behavior, enhance self-care ability, and enhance nursing compliance.
