Simultaneous determination of three active components in Wuchong Huayu Tongluo Capsules by high performance liquid chromatography |

Abstract Objective To establish high performance liquid chromatography method for the simultaneous determination of ferulic acid,salvianolic acid B and tanshinone ⅡA in Wuchong Huayu Tongluo Capsules. Methods The analysis was performed on Agilent ZORBAX SB-C18 column (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm); mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.1% phosphoric acid with gradient elution; flow rate was 1.0 ml/min; the detection wavelength were 286 nm (detected ferulic acid and salvianolic acid B) and 270 nm (detected tanshinone Ⅱ A); column temperature was 20℃. Results Ferulic acid, salvianolic acid B and tanshinone ⅡA showed good linear relationships within the ranges of 0.528-5.280 μg/ml (R2 = 0.9999), 10.953-109.530 μg/ml (R2 = 0.9996) and 0.326-3.260 μg/ml (R2 = 0.9994), whose average recovery rate were 98.51%, 99.51% and 102.32%, with the RSD of 1.29%, 1.25% and 1.41%, respectively. Conclusion The method is stable and reliable, and can be used for the simultaneous determination of three components in Wuchong Huayu Tongluo Capsules.
