| Clinical effect of the formula of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors in the treatment of patients with diabetic nephropathy |

Abstract Objective To explore and analyze the clinical effect of the formula of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors in the treatment of patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods A total of 120 patients with diabetic nephropathy admitted to Liaocheng Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Shandong Province from June 2019 to June 2020 were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional drugs, and the observation group was treated with the formula of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors. Both groups were treated continuously for six months. Clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, renal function index, and inflammatory factor levels were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment, the levels of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, serum creatinine (SCr), urea nitrogen, 24 h urinary protein (24hUP), serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor -α (TNF-α), and C-reactive protein (CRP) in two groups were all lower than before treatment, and the levels of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score, SCr, urea nitrogen, 24hUP, IL-6, TNF-α, and CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of treating diabetic nephropathy with the formula of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors is outstanding, which has prominent advantages in relieving related symptoms and signs, and at the same time can promote the improvement of renal function indicators and inflammatory state.
