Abstract As one of the common malignant tumors, liver cancer has a high incidence and fatality rate. Surgical resection of liver cancer patients has been widely carried out clinically, and a variety of surgical technical problems have also been overcome. At present, the development of humanities medicine and the research and innovation of science and technology have promoted the development of liver surgery from simply pursuing the number of resections and overcoming the difficulty of surgery to more and more focusing on the patient-centric precision medical model. Under this background, the concept of precision liver resection has gradually been accepted by liver surgeons. This article reviews the development and application of precision liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma, in order to provide reference for clinical practice.
