Abstract Objective To systematically evaluate the psychological experience of patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation during the protective isolation period, and to provide reference for medical staff to provide supportive care. Methods PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Psyc INFO, Web of Science, EMbase, CINAHL, CNKI, CBM, Wang Fang, VIP and other databases were searched by computer. Qualitative research on the psychological experience of protective isolation in patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation were retrieved from the establishment of the database until May 25, 2020. The results were integrated using the evaluation literature of evidence-based Health Care Australia’s Quality Evaluation Criteria for Qualitative Research (2017) and the meta integration method. Results A total of 11 articles, two in Chinese and nine in English, were included, a total of 85 results were extracted and grouped into nine new categories, which were integrated into three results: general feelings before transplantation, negative effects of protective isolation, and positive coping factors. Conclusion Clinical medical staff should pay attention to the overall feeling of patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation during the protective isolation period, understand the real experience and needs of patients, and provide timely and targeted help to patients.
