Meta analysis of the changes of endocrine and fertility function after fertility-sparing treatment for malignant ovarian germ cell tumors |

Abstract Objective To systematically evaluate the changes of endocrine and fertility function after fertility-sparing treatment for malignant ovarian germ cell tumors. Methods Literatures related to menstruation and fertility changes after fertility-sparing treatment for malignant ovarian germ cell tumors were searched in PubMed, EMbase, CNKI, Wanfang and other databases by computer. The search time was from the establishment of the database to January 2021. The method of combining subject words and key words was used to search. R3.6.1 software was used for data analysis. Results Finally, 13 articles involving 727 patients were included. Meta analysis results showed that, the complication rate of pregnancy was 88% (95%CI: 84%-92%) and the complication rate of normal menstruation was 90% (95%CI: 85%-95%) after fertility-sparing treatment for malignant ovarian germ cell tumor. Conclusion Fertility-sparing treatment for malignant ovarian germ cell tumors has little effect on ovarian function, and no lasting effect on menstruation and fertility function has been found at present.
