氧化应激因子水平与精神分裂症患者认知功能的相关性

Abstract Objective To investigate the relationship between oxidative stress factor levels and cognitive impairment in patients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 50 patients with first onset and unmedicated schizophrenia who were admitted to the First People’s Hospital of Yuhang District of Hangzhou(“our hospital” for short) from March 2019 to November 2020 were selected as case groups. A total of 50 healthy people who were admitted to our hospital during the same period were selected as control group. The levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), homocysteine (Hcy), and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were measured. The MACTICS consensus cognitive battery (MCCB) was used to assess cognitive impairment in both groups, and the relationship between the above oxidative stress factor levels and cognitive impairment in schizophrenia was analyzed. Results The case group was significantly lower than the control group in terms of information processing speed, attention / alertness, working memory, word learning, visual learning, reasoning and problem solving obility, and social cognition (P ＜ 0.05). The levels of SOD and GSH in the case group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The levels of Hcy and MAD in the case group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The levels of Hcy and MDA in patients with schizophrenia were negatively correlated with attention / alertness (P ＜ 0.05). There was no obvious correlation between the levels of other oxidative stress factors and cognitive impairment (P ＞ 0.05). Conclusion Patients with schizophrenia are in oxidative stress state, and their antioxidant capacity is significantly reduced. The levels of Hcy and MDA affect cognitive impairment in patients with schizophrenia.
