Abstract Coronary heart disease (CHD) has been a serious threat to human health, right ventricular (RV) function indicates the unique value to the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of CHD. However, the evaluation of RV function is hampered because of the complex anatomy of RV. With the rapid development of ultrasound technology, the accuracy has been improved in the assessment of RV function in recent years. This article reviews the current status and research progress of RV function evaluation in CHD patients by echocardiography.
