Abstract Through the follow-up study of the graduate students of basic Chinese medicine, it is found that there are some problems in the current training of graduate students of basic Chinese medicine, such as the lack of knowledge and vision, the lack of practical ability, the lack of interaction between teachers and students, the lack of cultural self-confidence and moral quality. According to the current educational environment and the specific conditions of various schools and specialties, the contemporary academy model can give full play to the advantages of comprehensive coverage of knowledge and ability, multi angle improvement of practical ability, full and efficient interaction between teachers and students, and the cultural and moral edification of being a model. It is an important educational supplement outside the training system of basic Chinese medicine postgraduates, and it is worthy of practical exploration and promotion.
