Abstract As novel multi-modal molecular functional imaging techniques, positron emission tomography (PET)/CT and PET/MRI have integrated the advantages of PET and CT/MRI imaging techniques, which have been widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological malignancies. Lymph node metastasis is an independent risk factor for the prognosis of cervical cancer. Functional imaging examination plays an important role in evaluating pelvic or abdominal para-aortic lymph node metastasis, which can not only accurately locate the anatomical location of lymph nodes, but also provide metabolic information, improving the accuracy of diagnosis for lymph node metastasis. This article reviews the application of PET/CT and PET/MRI in the diagnosis of lymph node metastasis of cervical cancer by summarizing the results of related researches at home and abroad in recent years. Finally, PET/CT and PET/MRI, as representatives of novel functional imaging techniques, are expected to be important methods for the development of individualized precise treatment plans for cervical cancer.
