Application of narrative medical humanistic care in perioperative period of children with occult penises

Abstract  Objective To explore the application effect of humanistic nursing of narrative medicine in the perioperative period of children with concealed penis. Methods A total of 120 childrens admitted to the Department of Urology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University due to occlusive penis from July 2018 to August 2019 were selected as the research subjects by convenience sampling method. According to the admission time, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 60 cases in each group. Children in the control group were given urological routine nursing care, and children in the observation group were given narrative medicine humanistic nursing on the basis of routine nursing. The anxiety state, postoperative pain score, hospital compliance and nursing satisfaction of the two groups of children and their parents were compared. Results The anxiety and pain scores of the children and their parents in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05); the hospitalization compliance of the children in the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05); the nursing satisfaction of the family members of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The implementation of narrative medicine for children with concealed penis surgery has a significant effect on humanistic nursing, which is beneficial to promote the rehabilitation of children, improve the satisfaction of children and their parents, enrich the connotation and methods of humanistic nursing, and promote the development of high-quality nursing.
