| Therapeutic effect of acupotomy lysis combined with Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction in treating postoperative dysfunction of hip joint |

Abstract Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of acupotomy lysis combined with Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction in the treatment of postoperative dysfunction of hip joint. Methods By using randomized parallel controlled method, all 72 patients with postoperative dysfunction of hip joint treated in Hebei Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2014 to December 2017 were randomly divided into control group and treatment group by random number table method, with 36 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with the acupotomy lysis combined with Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction after 1 week of operation, and the control group was treated with local closure combined with Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction after 1 week of operation. The visual analogue scale (VAS), Harris score and range of motion (ROM) of hip joint before treatment and after treatment for 15 days in the two groups were recorded, and the clinical efficacy between the two groups was compared. Results After treatment for 15 d, the VAS scores of the two groups were all lower than those before treatment, and the VAS scores of treatment group were lower than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment for 15 d, the Harris scores in the two groups were all higher than those before treatment, and the Harris scores of the treatment group were higher than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). After treatment for 15 d, the ROM of hip joint in the two groups were bigger than those before treatment, and the ROM of hip joint in the treatment group was bigger than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Acupotomy lysis combined with Taohong Siwu Decoction in treating postoperative dysfunction of hip joint takes both manifestation and root cause seriously, which has the characteristics of convenience, effective and inexpensive, with small injury, less bleeding, simple and easy operation, effective curative effect. It is easy to be accepted by the majority of patients, and the efficacy is significantly better than that of local closure combined with Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction, thus it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
