Abstract  Objective To explore the application effect of self-regulation model (SRM)-based illness perceptionness (IP) nursing in patients with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) and dialysis. Methods A total of 99 ALL dialysis patients treated in the Department of Hematology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University from April 2018 to November 2019 were selected as subjects. According to the random number table, they were divided into group A 49 cases, routine care were adopt and group B 50 cases, IP nursing based on SRM care were adopted. Before nursing and two months after nursing, the brief illness perception questionnaire (BIPQ) was used to assess the IP abilities of both groups, the herth hope inventory (HHI) was used to evaluate the hope levels of both groups, the connor-davidson resilience scale (CD-RISC) was used to assess the psychological resilience of both groups; after two months of nursing, a self-made compliance scale was used to evaluate the treatment compliance of the two groups. Results After two months of nursing, BIPQ score, HHI score and CD-RISC score were higher in both groups than before, and the BIPQ score, HHI score and CD-RISC scores in all dimensions of group B were higher than those of group A, with statistical significant differences (all P < 0.05); the scores of treatment compliance in both groups were higher than before, and the treatment compliance of group B was higher than that of group A, with a statistical significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion SRM based IP nursing for ALL dialysis patients is beneficial to improve their IP ability and hope level, improve their psychological flexibility, and improve treatment compliance of them after nursing.
