Abstract Chronic spontaneous urticaria is a special type of chronic urticaria. Mast cell disorder and basophil activation and degranulation are considered to be the center of this process. In the course of pathogenesis, it stimulates the release of platelet activating factors related to allergic inflammation. In addition, platelet activating factor is a very important pathogenic component that can cause severe allergic reactions. It can also activate mast cells and aggravate inflammatory reactions, which has gradually attracted attention in this research field. In this paper, the current research on the relationship between platelet activating factor and chronic spontaneous urticaria will be sorted out to provide a new direction for the effective prevention and treatment of chronic spontaneous urticaria.
