Abstract Objective To analyze the status quo of psychiatrists’ professional identity and influencing factors, and to put forward some targeted countermeasures and suggestions on this basis. Methods From June to August 2020, a simple random sampling method was used to survey 160 psychiatrists from three psychiatric hospitals in Z city with a self-compiled scale questionnaire. A total of 152 valid questionnaires were returned, and the effective recovery rate was 95.00%. The professional identification scores of psychiatrists with different indicators were analyzed, and multiple linear regression was used to analyze its influencing factors. Results The total score of psychiatrists’ occupational identity was (3.82±0.51) points, among which the score of professional behavior was the highest and the score of professional belief was the lowest. There was a statistically significant difference in the professional identification scores of psychiatrists with different educational backgrounds, professional titles, whether they were teachers, income status, and professional motivation (P < 0.05). Multiple regression analysis showed that whether they were teachers, income status, and professional motivation were the main factors that affected the level of psychiatrists’ professional identity (R2 = 0.311, P < 0.05). Conclusion The overall level of psychiatrists’ professional identity is relatively high, and there is still room for improvement. Professional motivation, whether they are teachers, and income status are the main factors affecting their professional identity. This can be done by increasing training channels, optimizing job division and income structure, and paying attention to it. Clinical teaching to improve the level of professional recognition.
