Analysis of nursing satisfaction of inpatients in department of cardiovascular medicine and its influencing factors |

Abstract Objective To study the influencing factors of nursing satisfaction of inpatients in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, to provide references for improving the quality of hospital nursing services. Methods Patients who were hospitalized in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hu’nan University of Chinese Medicine from January to December 2019 and met the inclusion criteria were selected as the research objects. Basic data and nursing satisfaction survey scale were used, logistic regression analysis and other methods were taken to study the influencing factors of nursing satisfaction of patients. Results The overall satisfaction rate of cardiovascular medical nursing services was 72.8%, but the satisfaction rate was relatively low in terms of patient psychological support, nurse-patient communication, and value expectations. There was a statistically significant difference in the overall satisfaction of patients with different ages, education levels, economic income and medical payment methods (P < 0.05). Education level (OR = 2.617, 1.941, 1.426), economic income (OR = 0.325, 0.372, 0.513), and medical payment method (OR = 0.186) were the influencing factors of nursing satisfaction of cardiovascular inpatients (P < 0.05). Conclusion Educational background, economic income, and medical payment methods are related to satisfaction; improving nursing environment and service attitude, strengthening nurse-patient communication, providing psychological support, improving nursing service efficiency and technical level are the fundamental guarantees for improving nursing satisfaction of cardiovascular inpatients.
