Effect of percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy of ODI, good rate of MacNab and Lehmann lumbar function in patients with single-stage lumbar disc herniation |

Abstract Objective To observe the clinical effect of percutaneous lumbar intervertebral disc resection in the treatment of patients with single-stage lumbar disc herniation and the clinical outcome of Oswestry disability index (ODI), good rate of MacNab and Lehmann lumbar function. Methods From January 2015 to April 2016, 102 patients with single-stage lumbar disc herniation in China National Petroleum Corporation Central Hospital were selected and divided into observation group and control group by random number table, with 51 patients in each group. The control group was treated with standard posterior push plate lumbar disc resection, while the observation group was treated with percutaneous intervertebral disc resection. The ODI, good rate of MacNab, Lehmann lumbar function between two groups after operation were compared. Results After operation, ODI in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the good rate of MacNab and Lehmann lumbar function in the observation group were better than those in the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of single-stage lumbar disc herniation by percutaneous intervertebral disc resection can reduce the amount of bleeding in operation, decrease the incision of the operation, shorten the hospitalization time, and improve the curative effect and improve quality of life after the operation. Therefore, it is worthy of further clinical promotion.
