Abstract IgA nephropathy is the most common clinical primary glomerular disease. Modern physicians usually treat this disease from the aspects of damp-heat, deficiency, and blood stasis. Among them, blood stasis occupies a pivotal position in IgA nephropathy and is one of the important excessive pathogens. It runs through the beginning and the end of the disease and is an important factor affecting the development and outcome of this disease. In this paper, the literatures related to etiology and pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy, pathogenesis of Western medicine, and the treatments of traditional Chinese medicine in four perspectives of qi and yin deficiency with blood stasis, spleen and kidney deficiency with blood stasis, intermingled of blood stasis and toxin, and kidney deficiency and blood stasis, are collected, summarized, and summarized, to analyze the application value of the treatment of blood stasis in the field of IgA nephropathy.
