Abstract Professor Cui Jin summarizes the main pathogenesis of impotence through analyzing ancient literatures and modern medical research, which are kidney deficiency complicated with blood stasis; discorder of thoroughfare and conception channels, governor and belt channels; mental disorder. According to the etiology of impotence, Professor Cui Jin takes the treatment thought of tonifying kidney and removing blood stasis, coordinating thoroughfare and conception channels, governor and belt channels, and tranquillization method. Professor Cui Jin selects a specific group of acupoints for acupuncture treatment, so as to achieve the results of tonifying kidney and promoting blood circulation, coordinating thoroughfare and conception channels, governor and belt channels, and adjusting the emotion. The selection of this group of acupoints has scientific basis, and acupuncture on these acupoints can achieve the curative effects of strengthening tendons, recovering impotence and inspiring male sexual function. Thus, this paper enumerates 2 cases to explore the experience of acupuncture treatment for impotence, in order to be used in clinical treatment widely, and provides new treatment thought for the acupuncture treatment of impotence.
