Application of immersive clinical thinking training platform in internal nursing |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of immersive clinical thinking training platform in internal nursing. Methods Two classes of Grade 2016 and Grade 2017, majoring in nursing of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2019 to January 2020, were randomly selected as the research objects. The class of Grade 2016 was the control group (50 students), and the traditional teaching method was adopted. The class of Grade 2017 was the experimental group (48 students). On the basis of the control group, the experimental group was taught by the immersive clinical thinking training platform introduced by Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was the combination of DxR Nursing SELECT clinical thinking training system and high-end simulators. The teaching effects of the two groups were compared through theoretical assessment, practical skill achievement, autonomous learning ability, critical thinking and satisfaction. Results The scores of theoretical assessment, practical skills, autonomous learning ability and critical thinking ability in the experimental group were all higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). In addition, more than 75% of students in the experimental group approved the immersive clinical thinking training platform. Conclusion The application of immersive clinical thinking training platform in internal nursing can effectively improve students’ critical thinking ability, create an inquiry-based learning atmosphere, mobilize students’ initiative in independent learning, and is conducive to improving the teaching effect of internal nursing.
