Abstract Knee joint is the most complex joint in human body, many factors can lead to knee joint diseases, imaging examination technology plays an important role in the diagnosis and evaluation of knee joint diseases. Now according to the literature, we summarize and discuss the different imaging techniques in the diagnosis and evaluation of knee joint diseases. X-ray is a common clinical technique; CT combined with related technology is better in personalized operation of knee replacement; MRI has specificity and higher value in displaying knee cartilage and other tissues; clinical value of ultrasound is getting more and more attention. Clinicians need to be familiar with the specificity of different examination techniques, combined with the comprehensive judgment of the patient’s condition, and carry out reasonable examination.
