Clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided akupotomye in the treatment of thoracolumbar fascitis |

Abstract Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided akupotomye with ordinary acupuncture in the treatment of thoracolumbar fascitis. Methods A total of 60 patients with thoracolumbar fascitis admitted to the outpatient department of Rehabilitation Treatment Center, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People’s Hospital from March 2018 to March 2019 were collected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group (30 cases) and treatment group (30 cases). The control group was treated with ordinary acupuncture and the treatment group was treated with ultrasound-guided akupotomye. After three courses of treatment, the scores of simplify McGill scale (visual analogue score [VAS], pain grading index [PRI] score and present pain intensity [PPI] score), body impairment index (PII) rating scale before and after treatment and clinical efficacy in two groups were compared. Results After treatment, VAS, PRI scores, PPI scores and PII scores of two groups were lower than those before the treatment, and scores of each item in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significant differences (all P < 0.05). The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusion Both treatments can effectively reduce the pain and restore the function of the lumbar and leg in patients with lsodorsal myofasciitis, thus improving the quality of life. Ultrasound-guided akupotomye treatment of thoracolumbar fascitis is more effective than ordinary acupuncture in improving the clinical symptoms, which is worthy of further clinical application.
