Examples on common couplet medicines of Chai Kequn’s in treating lung cancer |

Abstract Professor Chai Kequn summarizes and creates four methods of traditional Chinese medicine cancer prevention and treatment, which are “strengthening spleen and tonifying kidney to strengen vital qi” “resolving dissipating phlegm and removing toxicity to dissipate cancer” “soothing liver and relieving depression to regulate emotion” “warming yang and unblocking collaterals to disperse cold and prevent changes”. In this paper, the connotation of Chai’s four methods of cancer prevention and treatment and their application in lung cancer are expounded, 12 pairs of commonly used couplet medicines are summarized, such as Dioscoreae Rhizoma-Euryales Semen, Coicis Semen-Lycii Fructus, Pseudostellariae Radix-Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus, Pinelliae Rhizoma-Scutellariae Radix, Taraxaci Herba-Forsythiae Fructus, Fagopyri Dibotryis Rhizoma-Bombyx Batryticatus, Bupleuri Radix-Paeoniae Radix Alba, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride-Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, Aurantii Fructus-Curcumae Radix, Cinnamomi Ramulus-Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Cuscutae Semen-Morindae Officinalis Radix, Curculiginis Rhizoma-Epimedii Folium. This paper summarizes Professor Chai Kequn’s four methods of Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment of lung cancer, including the characteristics of couplet medicines compatibility and common dosage, and discusses its mechanism.
