Effects of controllable micromotion on postoperative pain control and functional recovery in patients with femoral fracture |

Abstract Objective To explore and analyze the influence of controllable micromotion on postoperative pain control and functional recovery in patients with femoral fracture. Methods A total of 180 patients with femoral fracture treated in Changzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Jiangsu Province from June 2017 to June 2020 were selected and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 90 patients in each group. The control group was given routine postoperative intervention, and the observation group was additionally treated with controlled fine motion intervention on the basis of control group. The intervention lasted for three weeks in both groups. The degree of postoperative pain, Lysholm score and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Overall visual analogue scale (VAS) analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in comparison between groups, time point comparison and interaction (P < 0.05). Comparison within groups: VAS at three weeks, one month and three months after intervention in both groups were lower than before intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). Comparison between groups: VAS in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group at three weeks, one month and three months after intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). After intervention, Lysholm scores in both groups were higher than before intervention, and the observation group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (all P < 0.05). The satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion On the basis of routine postoperative intervention, the use of controllable micromotion can significantly reduce the degree of pain, promote the recovery of daily function after femoral fracture, and improve the satisfaction of patients.
