Exploration on the mechanism of Chaihu Shugan Powder in the treatment of chronic prostatitis based on network pharmacology |

Abstract Objective To explore the mechanism of Chaihu Shugan Powder in the treatment of chronic prostatitis based on network pharmacology. Methods According to the drug-likeness and oral bioavailability, the predictive targets of effective active ingredients of Chaihu Shugan Powder in the treatment of chronic prostatitis were screened through the pharmacology database analysis platform of traditional Chinese medicine system and GeneCards. The network graph of active component of Chaihu Shugan Powder-target of chronic prostatitis was drawn by Cytoscape 3.7.2. The network analysis of target interaction was made by STRING database. Finally, the target, signal pathway and biological process were analyzed in the biological information annotation database. Results A total of 129 active components were screened out, among which, the number of Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, Bupleuri Radix, Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Cyperi Rhizoma, Aurantii Fructus, Paeoniae Radix Alba, Glycyrrhizae Radix Et Rhizoma was 5, 14, 6, 17, 5, 11, 71 respectively. A total of 1121 targets of active ingredients were obtained, including IL-6, IL-2, SRC, EGFR, IGF1R, and so on. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that chemokine signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, T cell signaling pathway and others were mainly involved. Conclusion This study reveals the potential target and KEGG signaling pathway of Chaihu Shugan Powder in the treatment of chronic prostatitis, which can provide new ideas for the mechanism of its intervention in chronic prostatitis.
