Study on quality standard of Muniziqisaifula Mixture |

Abstract Objective To establish quality standards for Muniziqisaifula Mixture. Methods Thin layer chromatography (TLC) was used to identify Nymphaea candida Presl. and Cichorium intybus L. The conten of esculetin in mixture was determined by high performance liquid chromatography. The Inertsil ODS-SP (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) was used as the colum, the mobile phase was quercetin took methanol- acetonitrile-0.2% H3PO4 (9∶6∶85), the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min, the sample size was 10 μL, the column temperature was 30℃ and the detection wavelength was set at 342 nm. Results Nymphaea candida Presl. and Cichorium intybus L. could be clearly detected by TLC. The esculetin had a good linear relationship between 5.09-163.04 μg/mL (r = 1.0000). The average recovery rates of esculetin was 100.99%. Conclusion This method is fast and can be used to control the quality of Muniziqisaifula Mixture.
