Medication rule analysis of Professor Yang Hongtao in the treatment of membranous nephropathy based on data mining |

Abstract Objective To analyze medication rule of Professor Yang Hongtao in the treatment of membranous nephropathy based on data mining. Methods The prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine diagnosed as membranous nephropathy in Professor Yang Hongtao’s Special Disease Clinic, the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to March 2019 were collected. With the help of traditional Chinese medicine inheritance platform, the prescription medication rules were analyzed from the aspects of medication frequency, prescription rules, core drug pairs and potential new prescriptions. Results A total of 132 patients with membranous nephropathy were enrolled and the total number of applied traditional Chinese medicines was 163. Nineteen medicines were applied more than 31 times and the top three were Clematidis Radix et Rhizoma, Rosae Laevigatae Fructus and Eucommiae Cortex (except Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma). There were 18 core medicine combinations and nine new prescriptions. Conclusion In the treatment of membranous nephropathy, Professor Yang Hongtao emphasizes on invigorating the spleen and kidney, dispelling pathogens and smoothing the collaterals, dialectically removing the “wind, dampness and blood stasis” poison, and making good use of vines and insect drugs, which provides reference value for the treatment of membranous nephropathy with Chinese medicine.
