Abstract Salpingitis obstructive infertility (SOI) is a common cause of infertility in women of childbearing age, and tubal fibrosis is the pathological basis of this disease. The loss of the normal anatomical structure of the fibrotic fallopian tube leads to the impact of its functions such as egg picking, fertilization, and transportation of fertilized eggs, which leads to infertility. Inflammatory factors are involved in all stages of organ fibrosis. Transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) are involved in tubal inflammation and tubal fibrosis. Both play an important role and are the key link of this disease. Taking TGF-β1 and CTGF as effective targets for preventing and improving fallopian tube fibrosis will be of great significance for the treatment of SOI.
