Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of detailed nursing intervention mode in operating room nursing. Methods A total of 115 patients who underwent surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital with Nanjing Medical University from March 2018 to October 2019 were selected. According to operation time, they were divided into 61 cases in the treatment group (January to October 2019) and 54 cases in the control group (March to December 2018). The control group was given routine care in the operating room, while the treatment group combined with detailed care in the operating room. The quality of care in the operating room, surgical efficiency, adverse nursing events, and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total scores of instrument management, sanitation and disinfection, nursing cooperation and quality of care of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group (P ＜ 0.05); operation preparation time, pick-up time, and each operation time were shorter than those of the control group (P ＜ 0.01); the incidence of adverse nursing events was lower than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05); patient care satisfaction was higher than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Detailed nursing intervention can help improve the quality of care in the operating room, shorten the operation time, reduce the incidence of adverse events in surgical care, and improve the doctor-patient relationship in the operating room.
