Study on english teaching model in Chinese medicine institutions from bilingual and bicultural perspective |

Abstract In the critical period of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, Chinese medical workers practice the benevolent heart of doctors and carry forward the spirit of doctors, which provides a new perspective for humanistic literacy education in English teaching in medical institutions. This paper reviews bilingual and bicultural schema theory, analyzes the meaning and necessities of bilingual and bicultural ability cultivation in Chinese Medicine institutions, illustrates teaching strategies of bilingual and bicultural teaching in teaching objectives, methods, activities and evaluation system. The aim is to improve the language ability of medical students to communicate excellent traditional Chinese culture, to improve the sense of family and professional responsibility of medical students, and to enhance the effect and level of bilingual and bicultural teaching in English teaching.
