Abstract Objective To sort out the international research status, hotspots and frontiers on anxiety in women with infertility, and provide references for the development of infertility-related clinical care in our country. Methods The Web of Science core database was extracted from January 2000 to June 2020 on research themed on Female infertility anxiety, and Citespace software was used to analyze country, institution, cited literature, keywords and their emergent words. Results Finally, 433 articles were included, and the number of published articles showed a rising trend. The United States, China, Iran, and the United Kingdom had greater influence in international academic circles. The research focuses on the Iranian Educational and cultural Research Academic Center and Cardiff University. Research hotspots included research on sources of anxiety in female infertility (assisted reproductive therapy effects, endometriosis, sleep quality, negative emotions, marital satisfaction, equity, etc.) and anxiety intervention studies (partner support, cognitive behavioral therapy, traditional Chinese medicine, etc.). The research frontier is to assess the fertility quality of life and develop related scale tools for female infertility anxiety patients. Conclusion The research on female infertility anxiety has attracted extensive attention from scholars at home and abroad, and has formed a certain scale of research in space. The research hotspots and frontiers have a guiding value to enrich the comprehensive nursing program for female infertility anxiety patients in our country.
