Effect of Ligustrazine Injection combined with Edaravone in the treatment of cerebral vasospasm after intracranial aneurysm surgery |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Ligustrazine Injection combined with Edaravone in the treatment of cerebral vasospasm after intracranial aneurysm surgery. Methods A total of 100 patients with cerebral vasospasm after intracranial aneurysm surgery were selected from Chifeng Municipal Hospital, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from January 2017 to December 2019. They were divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Edaravone and the study group was treated with Ligustrazine Injection on the basis of the control group. The efficacy, nervous function, middle cerebral artery blood flow velocity (VMCA), serum related indexes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After four weeks of treatment, the clinical total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After four weeks of treatment, the score of national Institutes of health stroke scale (NIHSS), the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor -α (TNF-α), endothelin-1 (ET-1) in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05). After four weeks of treatment, the levels of nitric oxide (NO) and VMCA in the two groups were higher than those before treatment (P < 0.05), and the study group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Ligustrazine Injection combined with Edaravone is effective in the treatment of cerebral vasospasm after intracranial aneurysm surgery. It can promote the improvement of the body’s nervous function, restore blood flow speed, and it is safe and reliable. It may be related to the improvement of the body’s IL-6, TNF-α, ET-1 and NO levels.
