Application of nursing quality sensitive indicators in perioperative safety management of patients with gastrointestinal surgery |

Abstract Objective To analyze the application effect of nursing quality sensitive indicators in perioperative safety management of patients with gastrointestinal surgery. Methods From July 2017 to June 2018, 214 gastrointestinal surgery patients admitted to The Affiliated Huai′an NO.1 People Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were selected. According to the implementation of the quality of nursing indicators, the patients were divided into 104 cases before implementation (July-December 2017) and 110 cases after implementation (January-June 2018). The traditional nursing quality control method of gastrointestinal surgery was adopted before the implementation, and the nursing quality sensitive indicators was adopted after the implementation. The achievement rate of priority rectification indicators and nursing adverse events were compared before and after implementation. Results After implementation, the gastrointestinal perioperative nursing technical specification implementation rate, risk assessment correct rate, drug delivery correct rate, patient identification correct rate, gastrointestinal function rehabilitation training implementation rate, postoperative return visit rate were significantly higher than before implementation (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The incidence of adverse events such as nausea and vomiting, wound infection, pulmonary infection, anastomotic leakage, falling/falling in patients with gastrointestinal surgery, which was significantly lower than that of before implementation (P < 0.01). Conclusion The application of sensitive indicators of nursing quality can improve the quality of perioperative safety management of gastrointestinal surgery patients.
