| Effect of Bushen Huoxue Decoction in the treatment of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia after electrocision and its effect on sex hormone levels |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Bushen Huoxue Decoction in the treatment of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) after electrocision and its effect on sex hormone levels. Methods A total of 92 patients admitted to Lishui Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhejiang Province for BPH electrocision from February 2018 to June 2019 were selected and divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was given routine intervention + Tamsulosin Hydrochloride Sustained Release Tablets, the study group was treated with Bushen Huoxue Decoction on the basis of the control group, and the total clinical effective rate, sex hormones (testosterone [T], estradiol [E2], luteinizing hormone [LH], prolactin [PRL]), urine volume (RU), maximum flow rate (Qmax), international prostate symptom score (I-PSS), quality of life score (QOL) and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After three months of treatment, the total clinical effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). After three months of treatment, PRL and T levels in both groups were higher than those before treatment, and the study group was higher than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). E2 and LH levels were both lower than those before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). After three months of treatment, Qmax in both groups was higher than that before treatment, and the study group was higher than the control group (P ＜ 0.05), while, the RU, I-PSS and QOL were all lower than those before treatment, and the study group was lower than those of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion BPH patients after BPH electrocision combined with Bushen Huoxue Decoction on the basis of routine intervention can effectively promote the balance of sex hormones, improve the symptoms and quality of life of patients, at the same time, the incidence rate of adverse reactions is low, and the curative effect is significant.
