Expression level and clinical value of serum growth differentiation factor -15 and C reactive protein in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease |

Abstract Objective To observe the expression level and clinical significance of serum growth differentiation factor-15 and C reactive protein in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods From February 2015 to May 2017 in 239 cases of COPD patients in Linqu People's Hospital of Shandong Province. Grouped according to the patient's condition: 136 stable patients, 103 cases of patients in acute stage at the same time, 80 healthy volunteers were selected as control group. All patients were selected for determination of serum growth differentiation factor -15 and C reactive protein, the expression levels of the above indexes in the three groups were analyzed. The ROC curve was used to analyze the sensitivity and specificity of the above indexes in the diagnosis of COPD. Results Growth differentiation factor-15 and C reactive protein in the control group, stable COPD group, acute COPD group were significantly increased, the difference between the three groups are statistically significant (P < 0.01). The area of growth differentiation factor-15 in the diagnosis of acute COPD curve was 0.79 (95%CI: 0.61-0.89, P < 0.01), the diagnostic accuracy was 72%. The area under the curve of C reactive protein in the diagnosis of acute COPD was 0.66 (95%CI: 0.51-0.76, P < 0.01), and the diagnostic accuracy was 61%. Conclusion The expression levels of GDF-15 and CRP in patients with CRP are significantly increased, and positively correlated with the severity of the disease, the accuracy of GDF-15 in the diagnosis of COPD is higher than that of CRP.
