Effect of self-made Gujing Yishen Decoction in the treatment of nephrotic syndrome and its influence on immune function |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of self-made Gujing Yishen Decoction in the treatment of nephrotic syndrome (NS) and its influence on immune function. Methods A total of 82 cases of NS patients who were treated in Wuhu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from February 2016 to December 2019 were selected. According to the random number table, the above patients were divided into the control group (41 cases) and the study group (41 cases). The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine, while the study group was treated with self-made Gujing Yishen Decoction on the basis of the control group. The curative effect, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome score, renal function (24-hour urinary protein quantitative [24hPro], blood urea nitrogen [BUN], creatinine [Scr]),immune function (immunoglobulin A [IgA], immunoglobulin M [IgM], immunoglobulin G [IgG]) and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the study group was higher than the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the symptom scores of the two groups were lower than that before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, 24hPro, BUN and Scr levels were decreased in the two groups, and the study group was lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the IgA level decreased in the two groups, and the study group was lower than the control group (P < 0.05), IgM and IgG increased in the two groups, and the study group was higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Self-made Gujing Yishen Decoction has a significant effect on NS patients. It can effectively improve renal function and immune function without increasing the incidence of adverse reactions, with good clinical application value.
