Diagnostic value of ultrasound elastography in the static plasma cell mastitis |

Abstract Objective To study the characteristics of elastography in the diagnosis of static plasma cell mastitis and to evaluate the value of ultrasound elastography in the diagnosis of static plasma cell mastitis. Methods From March 2018 to September 2019, 120 cases (120 mass) with suspected of plasma cell mastitis or breast cancer in China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Guang′anmen Hospital were selected as study objects. All patients were examined by ultrasound, including conventional ultrasound and ultrasound elastography. The gold standard was pathological results, and the diagnostic value of different ultrasound methods in the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast diseases were observed. Results The cut-off value of ultrasound of plasma cell mastitis was 2.44, sensitivity was 65.0% and specificity was 73.3%, respectively. The cut-off value of ultrasound elastography of plasma cell mastitis was 1.74, sensitivity was 76.7% and specificity was 96.7%, respectively. Conclusion Ultrasound elastography provides a new method for the differential diagnosis of plasma cell mastitis and breast cancer.
