| Study on the correlation between occurrence of enuresis and constipation in children |

Abstract The mechanism of enuresis in children remains unclear. Clinical observation found that enuresis always combined with constipation. The symptoms of enuresis can significantly reduced after gave laxative treatment, which showed that constipation is closely related to enuresis. However, as a common cause of enuresis, constipation was rarely studied. The congenital spina bifida, pelvic floor muscle coordination disorder, psychological factors are the common pathogenic factors of enuresis and constipation, and rectal distension is an important factor which constipation lead to enuresis. Chronic constipation can affect the function of lung, spleen, liver and kidney, and lead to the spleen-energy, lung-energy and kidney-energy deficiency, liver constraint transforming into fire, etc. The above pathological changes can affect the gasification function of bladder and cause enuresis.
