| Breast conserving breast cancer resection and modified radical mastectomy for premenopausal breast cancer |

Abstract Objective To evaluate the effect of breast conserving breast cancer resection and modified radical mastectomy for premenopausal breast cancer. Methods From May 2016 to May 2017, 115 cases with premenopausal early breast cancer who treated in Penglai People′s Hospital were selected as study objects. They were divided into the observation group (58 cases) and the control group (57 cases) according to surgical methods. The clinical effect of the two groups were compared. Operative time, intraoperative blood loss, drainage volume, hospital stay and quality of life score were compared between the two groups. The rate of tumor recurrence and distant metastasis on six months and two years after operation were observed. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The operative time and hospital stay of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the drainage volume was less than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (all P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in intraoperative blood loss between the two groups (P > 0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in scores of physical function and physiological function between the two groups before surgery (P > 0.05). After surgery, the scores of physical function and physiological function in two groups were higher than those before surgery, and the observation group was higher than the control group, with statistically significant differences (all P < 0.05). There were no significant differences between the two groups in tumor recurrence rate and distant metastasis rate on six months and two years after surgery (P > 0.05). Conclusion Breast conserving breast cancer resection for premenopausal early breast cancer patients has a significant clinical effect. It can shorten the hospital stay and improve the quality of life of patients. It is worthy of clinical application.
