Meta analysis of the effect of intracavitary electrocardiogram on placement of PICC in neonates |

Abstract Objective To evaluate the effect of intracavitary electrocardiogram position on peripherally inserted central venous catheters (PICC) in neonates. Methods CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science databases were searched by computer. The retrieval time was from database construction to August 2019. Randomised controlled trials that met the inclusion criteria were searched, and meta analysis was performed using RevMan5.3 software. Results A total of 16 references were included in this study, including 2052 neonates meta analysis showed that the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (OR = 0.37, 95%CI: 0.24-0.58, P < 0.000 01). The tip positioning accuracy of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (OR = 5.65, 95%CI: 2.72-11.77, P < 0.000 01). The one-time arrival rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (OR = 4.85, 95%CI: 3.20-7.36, P < 0.000 01). Conclusion Intracavitary electrocardiogram positioning method is better than body surface measurement method, which can improve the one-time arrival rate, tip positioning accuracy and reduce the incidence of complications.
