Management of glycated hemoglobin A and influencing factors of type 2 diabetes patients at a grade Ⅲ class A hospital in Urumqi |

Abstract Objective To realize the management of glycated hemoglobin A (HbA1c) in hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes at a grade Ⅲ class A hospital in Urumqi, and to explore the influencing factors of HbA1c. Methods From January to May 2019, 300 hospitalized patients were selected in a grade Ⅲ class A hospital in Urumqi by convenience method, according to the level of HbA1c, they were divided into standard group (HbA1c<7.0%, 55 cases) and non-standard group (HbA1c≥7.0%, 245 cases), the effects of ethnicity, severity degree of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), life style and lipid metabolic indictors on HbA1c in type 2 diabetes patients were analgzed. Results There were significant differences among ethnicity, severity degree of NAFLD, regular exercise, sleep quality, triglycerides (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) between two groups (P < 0.05); Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that HbA1c was positively correlated with ethnicity, severity degree of NAFLD, TG, TC (P < 0.01), and negatively correlated with sleep quality and regular exercise (P < 0.01). Conclusion Attention should be paid more to ethinc minorities groups, strengthening the management of NAFLD, cultivating healthy lifestyle, improving lipid disorder, so that to enhance the management level of HbA1c.
