| Effect of Haikunshenxi Capsules combined with Leflunomide in the treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis and its effect on endothelial cell function and immune function |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Haikunshenxi Capsules combined with Leflunomide on chronic glomerulonephritis (CGN) and its effect on endothelial cell function and immune function. Methods From June 2016 to June 2019, 89 CGN patients admitted in Huizhou Central People′s Hospital and Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University were selected. According to the method of random number table, the patients were randomly divided into control group (44 cases) and observation group (45 cases). The control group was treated with Leflunomide, the observation group was treated with Haikunshenxi Capsules and Leflunomide, both groups were treated for 3 months. The clinical effect of the two groups was evaluated and compared, the levels of serum creatinine (Scr), urea nitrogen (BUN), nitric oxide (NO), endothelin-1 (ET-1) and peripheral blood CD4+, CD8+, CD4+/CD8+ were compared before and after treatment, and the adverse reactions were recorded in the two groups. Results After treatment, the total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The serum Scr, BUN and ET-1 levels of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P ＜ 0.05), the NO level was significantly higher than that before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). The level of CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in peripheral blood of the two groups after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P ＜ 0.05), the CD8+ level was significantly lower than that before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P ＜ 0.05). During the treatment, there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05). Conclusion Haikunshenxi Capsules combined with Leflunomide has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of CGN, which is helpful to improve the function of endothelial cells, improve the immune function of the body, and has a good safety.
