Abstract TAM receptor is a subfamily of receptor tyrosinase, including three members Tyro3, Axl and Mertk. The common ligands of the TAM receptors are growth arrest specific gene 6 (Gas6) and S protein (ProS1). TAM receptors and ligands are widely expressed in mammalian immune, blood, reproductive, circulatory and nervous systems, and have many biological functions, such as inhibiting cell apoptosis, promoting cell proliferation, mediating cell adhesion, migration, phagocytic apoptotic cells, and participating in immune regulation. TAM receptors andits ligands play an important role in autoimmune diseases.
